  • 現(xiàn)任華中科技大學(xué)同濟基礎(chǔ)醫(yī)學(xué)院院長,華中科技大學(xué)細胞架構(gòu)研究中心主任,生物化學(xué)和分子生物學(xué)系主任。于南開大學(xué)獲理學(xué)學(xué)士學(xué) 位,美國羅格斯大學(xué)獲碩士和博士學(xué)位,美國斯坦福大學(xué)進行博士后訓(xùn)練,2013年回到華中科技大學(xué)開展獨立研究工作。

  • 主講《醫(yī)學(xué)細胞及分子生物學(xué)》、《生物化學(xué)及分子生物學(xué)》、《遺傳學(xué)》等本科生及研究生課程。擔任《醫(yī)學(xué)細胞與分子生物學(xué)》八年制臨床整合課程負責人、研究生《代謝與疾病基礎(chǔ)研究實驗技術(shù)》課程負責人,現(xiàn)任醫(yī)學(xué)研究生國家級規(guī)劃教材《醫(yī)學(xué)分子生物學(xué)》主編,醫(yī)學(xué)研究生國家級規(guī)劃教材《細胞與分子生物學(xué)》主編,五年制本科臨床醫(yī)學(xué)國家級規(guī)劃教材《醫(yī)學(xué)細胞生物學(xué)》副主編。

  • 主要從事內(nèi)膜動態(tài)及功能相關(guān)的基礎(chǔ)研究,運用遺傳操作、超高分辨成像、光遺傳操控、體外重構(gòu)等多學(xué)科方法,探討內(nèi)吞體生理病理動態(tài)(Ras家族蛋白活性調(diào)控;膜骨架動態(tài);膜運輸調(diào)控網(wǎng)絡(luò)組成及功能模式)、內(nèi)吞體調(diào)控組織衰老、內(nèi)吞體調(diào)控病原微生物-宿主互作等科學(xué)問題,相關(guān)成果以通訊作者發(fā)表在Nature Aging、Journal of Cell Biology、EMBO J、Cell Reports、PLoS Genetics、J Cell Sci、Mol Biol Cell等國際學(xué)術(shù)刊物。課題組通過建立相應(yīng)的模式動物在體研究體系,力圖從細胞內(nèi)膜運輸調(diào)控的視角拓展對膜性細胞器在細胞生理病理過程中的重要作用的認識,為發(fā)展靶向腸道病原微生物侵染的廣譜策略提供新的見解,為研究衰老相關(guān)疾病以及評估抗衰老策略提供理論參考。

Currently serving as the Dean of the School of Basic Medicine, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology; Director of the Cell Architecture Research Center, and Chair of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Dr. Shi obtained his Bachelor's degree from Nankai University and his Master's and Ph.D. degrees from Rutgers University–New Brunswick in the United States. Dr. Shi conducted postdoctoral training at Stanford University and returned to Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2013 to pursue independent research.

Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses such as "Medical Cell and Molecular Biology," "Biochemistry and Molecular Biology," and "Genetics." He serves as the coordinator of the eight-year integrated course "Medical Cell and Molecular Biology" and is responsible for the graduate course "Basic Research Techniques in Metabolic Disease". He is currently the chief editor of the national planning textbook for medical graduate students, "Medical Molecular Biology," and the chief editor for medical graduate students, "Cell and Molecular Biology". He also serves as the associate editor of the national planning textbook for five-year undergraduate clinical medicine, "Medical Cell Biology".

The laboratory is devoted to investigating the fundamentals of endosome dynamics and its functions. The team employs multidisciplinary approaches, including genetic manipulation, super-resolution imaging, optogenetic control, and in vitro reconstitution to investigate dynamic aspects of endocytic physiology and pathology (regulation of Ras superfamily proteins activity, membrane skeleton dynamics, membrane transport regulatory network composition and functional modes), endosomal regulation of tissue aging, and endosomal regulation of host-pathogen interactions. Relevant findings have been published as corresponding authors in academic journals such as Nature Aging, Journal of Cell Biology, EMBO J, Cell Reports, PLoS Genetics, J Cell Sci, and Mol Biol Cell. The team is attempting to increase awareness of the vital roles of membranous organelles in cellular physiological and pathological processes through the development of in vivo research systems in model animals, with the focus being on the regulation of intracellular membrane trafficking. The research endeavors to gain new perspectives on developing thorough tactics to oppose the infiltration of intestinal microbes and offers an outline of the study of age-related diseases and the appraisal of anti-aging approaches.
